Walking the course is a fun way to kill some time on Friday afternoon if the weather is pleasant, which it was this year. Getting a preview of the jumps helps decide where to spend time on Saturday. Also, you'll frequently see competitors walking the course, either planning how to ride it or giving pointers to students. The picture above was taken on Friday afternoon, and thanks to the friendly bartenders and their generous servings of Woodford Reserve, when I got the pictures back I had no recollection why I would have taken a picture of a random bunch of strangers at a not-very-spectacular jump. Finally, some memory pierced the haze, and I remembered that the gorgeous brunette in the center of the picture had been leading the group, which meant she was probably a competitor. Since I have an obsession for beautiful talented riders, and since my favorite Olympian wasn't riding this year, this one looked like a good candidate to drool over. Unfortunately, I never figured out who she is.
