One style doesn't fit all

A list of sites with information about specific equestrian disciplines and riding styles that I find interesting.

Foxhunting
My own pages about foxhunting in central Kentucky, with links to other foxhunting-related sites and information about the Foxhunters online mailing list.
Horse/Rider Types
A humorous look at the types of people and horses you're likely to see involved in different riding styles. Source unknown.
3-Day Eventing
According to the bumper stickers, eventers do it 3 ways for 3 days. I think this sport is one of the ultimate tests of equestrian athletes. It's way too much work for me to participate in, but I've got a lot of respect for the riders and horses involved in it.
Rolex Kentucky 3-Day Event
Probably the premier equestrian event in the United States, especially since it went 4-star in 1998. This is a link to my own Rolex pages, which also have links to other good net coverage of Rolex.
Cathy Wieschhoff
One of the top eventers and trainers in our local area. Not a Kentucky native, but she's been here long enough that we can try to claim her. Cathy's hopes for the 2000 Olympics were foiled by an injury at Rolex. But she has been competing successfully at national and international levels. Besides, she used to foxhunt with us, which is almost as important as all that other stuff.
Champagne Run Farm
One of the Lexington area's premiere boarding/training/lesson/sales facilities. Actually, they support many other riding activities besides eventing, but most of the people I know there are eventers. And you won't find a nicer or more fun bunch of people anywhere. Their website still seems to be under construction, but there's nothing incomplete about their facilities or services. Give 'em a call and ask for Lee and Roy!!!
United States Eventing Association
Info about the USEA and 3-day eventing. Membership info, news articles, event results, etc.
USEA Area 8
Information about eventing in USEA Area 8, the heartland of America and the heart of eventing (Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia and Western Pennsylvania).
