AYMFers Matt and John, along with second-generation AYMFers-in-training Laura and Lisa, and AYMF-inlaw Pete, closed out the second millennium with a ski trip to Perfect North Slopes in Indiana, Dec 28, 2000. (Yeah, I'm one of those obnoxiously obsessive nerds who persists in reminding people that 2000 was the last year of the old millennium.)
As one of the original Three Musketeers, John could be considered a "pre-founder" of the AYMF club, and has been a loyal participant in many activities. So it seems appropriate that he instigated this trip, and brought his daughters along as part of their continuing indoctrination into the kind of clean healthy outdoor fun that is one of the foundation tenets of the AYMF Club. And of course, I had to drag a camera along to record the occasion for posterity. And of course, I screwed up. Hard to believe I make a living in a technology field; I guess public universities are desperate. About mid-afternoon, I thought I was getting a lot of pictures from a 15-shot roll, and realized the film wasn't advancing. So all the excellent pictures I took earlier were simply "practice shots", and I had to scramble to get some real pictures in the limited time and fading light remaining. Here's what I ended up with. I got lazy and decided to throw them all into a single page, so it may take a while to load. If I get ambitious in the future, I might thumbnail them.
